Dental implants are an effective solution for restoring lost teeth, yet perceptions and knowledge about them are influenced by socio-demographic factors such as education, income, and age. Aim of the study: Our study aimed to evaluate the level of knowledge, perceptions and attitudes of patients toward dental implants. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional observational study was conducted on a sample of 110 subjects. The participants completed a questionnaire to assess their knowledge and perceptions about dental implants, and the data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Significant differences in knowledge and perceptions about implants were observed based on gender and socio-economic level. Women and individuals with a high socio-economic status were more informed. Costs and fear of surgical intervention were the main factors for avoiding implants. Conclusions: Socio-demographic factors significantly impair knowledge and decisions regarding dental implants.
