The widespread use of Artificial Intelligence is shifting the paradigm of knowledge production and consumption, with a tendency to diminish human cognitive effort. Amidst these changes and challenges, shifts in educational content and methods are inevitable, necessitating a fundamental transformation of education. From a practical perspective, however, there is a need for a cautious re-examination of the role of education and the discovery of practical wisdom in classical guidelines. This study proposes the design principles and specific content for a Philosophy Education Program for Children applicable to current elementary school settings, responding to the ethical crises and educational challenges of the AI era. The Philosophy for Children model identifies reasoning skills, creativity, personal and interpersonal growth, and ethical understanding as core objectives. These objectives intersect with the enhancement of critical thinking, creativity, self and social awareness, collaboration, and communication skills as jointly presented in the AI literacy frameworks by the OECD and the European Commission.
