Clinical reasoning is the intellectual foundation of family medicine. This paper reviews the evolution of clinical reasoning models and proposes an integrated Clinical Reasoning Cycle that unifies diagnostic reasoning, management planning, and reflective practice. The model emphasizes iterative thinking, contextual understanding, and patient-centered decision-making which are essential characteristics of Family Medicine.
