Spatial data quality inspection based on national geospatial standards is often conducted manually, resulting in high time consumption, cost, and dependence on expert knowledge. This study presents the development of an automated tool for spatial data quality assessment using GIS programming techniques. The proposed approach applies a rule-based validation method derived from national technical regulations to evaluate spatial relationships and geometric consistency between geographic objects. The tool is implemented in C# using the ArcObjects library as an Add-In for ArcMap, enabling automated execution of the validation workflow. The method was tested on a large-scale Population dataset of Thanh Hoa province in accordance with QCVN 73:2023/BTNMT. The results show that the tool effectively detects spatial errors, including overlaps between building and transportation features and violations of geometric constraints. The automated results are fully consistent with ArcGIS-based validation, while significantly improving efficiency, demonstrating a practical solution for standardized and automated spatial data quality control.
