Introduction: The integration of digital technologies into nursing and midwifery education has the potential to enhance learning experiences but also presents various challenges. A review of the perspectives of nurse educators on the use of digital tools in nursing and midwifery education was necessary. Methods: This systematic review of recent studies was conducted guided by a PiCo-based statement of inquiry and search strategy. The review adhered to the PRISMA guidelines. The PubMed and ScienceDirect databases were searched alongside manual hand search. Four eligible studies were included in the review. The studies were selected based on their relevance to digital technologies in nursing education, with a focus on educator perspectives and reported challenges. Results: The review identified several key digital tools used in nursing education, including course management systems and video conferencing platforms. Educators reported technical, educational, and emotional challenges in delivering educational services using digital technologies.
