AbstractOral vesiculobullous lesions or “blood blisters” can be found on a routine dental examination and may have many causes. Trauma is often the first diagnosis followed by a variety of bullous conditions, such as pemphigus and pemphigoid. Using a case report, we highlight the other, more serious, possibility of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) to raise awareness to the General Dental Practitioners and the need for prompt treatment.
