Clinical and evolutive aspects in human immunodeficiency virus - associated dementia

Human immunodeficiency virus-associated dementia (HAD) is a complex neurocognitive condition that affects the central nervous system of HIV-infected patients. This case highlights the importance of thorough clinical observation, neuroimaging, and multidisciplinary medical investigations for establishing an accurate diagnosis, thus providing the proper pharmacological/non-pharmacological treatment and therapies for the patients. This study will exhibit the clinical features of this disease, its course, and how it evolves over time. We aim to provide a detailed perspective on this condition, focusing on symptoms, diagnostic assessments, and proper patient management. Through this case, we aim to contribute to and enhance medical knowledge and therapeutic approaches and to add overall improvement to the management of HIV-associated dementia (HAD).
