Тhe problem of optimizing the flowsheet of existing production aimed at expanded manufacture of dimethylamine and monomethylamine as commercial products is considered using the ChemCad software program by the method of simulation experiment. Three flowsheets of the node of the distillation of monomethylamine and dimethylamine from the reaction feed are proposed. The flowsheet with an additional (reserve) column, which provides the redistribution of material flows in two previous columns and the disengagement of commercial monomethylamine from the reserve column (the reserve column was already installed at the factory), is the most economical and promising for practical use.
