Cardiovascular diseases are among the most costly conditions in healthcare, imposing a significant economic burden on the health system. Universal and supplemental insurance coverage plays a crucial role in accessing medical services. This study investigated the relationship between insurance support and the awareness, attitudes, and self-care behaviors of patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. This cross-sectional study was conducted on 138 cardiac patients who underwent CABG surgery using a simple random sampling method in 2021. Data were collected using a standardized questionnaire assessing cardiac patients' awareness, attitudes, and self-care behaviors. A total of 138 CABG patients participated in this research. The findings of this study indicated that awareness, attitudes, and self-care performance among cardiac patients were high across all insurance coverage groups. The Kruskal-Wallis test revealed no statistically significant differences between insurance coverage and awareness (P=0.920), attitudes (P=0.510), or daily self-care behaviors (P=0.540).
