Tooth injuries represent a significant public health concern, particularly among children and adolescents, given their notable prevalence and potential psychosocial and quality- of-life impacts. This study describes a poignant case involving a six-year-and-eightmonth- old child who endured dental trauma leading to accidental avulsion and swallowing of his permanent left maxillary central incisor (21). Despite the unfavorable prognosis, medical intervention by gastrointestinal endoscopy was undertaken to retrieve the dislodged tooth from the stomach. The dentist replanted and monitored the tooth for nearly three years. Its outcome was external cervical resorption and tooth extraction. This case emphasizes the importance of dental replantation. While providing a temporary restoration of both aesthetics and function, such interventions afford patients and their families crucial psychological adjustment periods for informed future dental planning and considerations.
