Intelligence and machine learning are helping to make cybersecurity better. They do this by finding threats that're smart and figuring out when something is not normal. Intelligence and machine learning also look at things in real time and can respond automatically. This means people do not have to work hard. Intelligence and machine learning make it possible to respond faster. They can even find attacks that're new and ones that we already know about. Cybersecurity threats are a problem and artificial intelligence and machine learning are helping to solve it. In order to help researchers, practitioners, and policymakers create robust and flexible cyber defenses, this chapter explores the role, advantages, applications, difficulties, and future directions of AI and ML in contemporary cybersecurity.
