So, Mendel, on the basis of a large proven material and a thorough study of their own cases, it comes to the conclusion that only meningitis, myelitis, apoplexy and epilepsy can be purely traumatic (rein traumatisch); polyneuritis and brain abscess can also be directly caused by trauma, especially with the help of infection; all the same other diseases of the nervous system: tabes, brain tumor, syringomyelia, Graves disease, paralysis agitans and others, if not with complete certainty, then with the greatest likelihood, how purely traumatic diseases can be considered non-existent.
