Earthquake engineers from the farthest reaches of the world converge, drawn by an unspoken call beneath the grand canopy of knowledge – the World Conferences on Earthquake Engineering. Here, they gather, under the umbrella of the International Association for Earthquake Engineering, to stand united in their pursuit of taming the unforgiving effects of tremors of the earth.
