Graphene: civil engineering applications start to come to fruition

Graphene has unrivalled mechanical, thermal, optical and electrical properties. Commercial applications are starting to filter into civil engineering, supported by international standards being developed by the UK’s National Physical Laboratory. Andrew Pollard reports.
