Progress in energy demand reduction – from here to 2050

Building more ‘green’ power stations is one way to cut the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions by 80% in 2050. Geoffrey Hammond of the University of Bath says that reducing energy demand is as important as these supply-side developments, and calls for a more strategic approach.
