A head start for the next generation of civil engineers

The UK Headstart initiative, which offers 16–17 year olds a chance to spend a week at university on an engineering taster course before making their final degree choice, received over 3000 applications last year – the highest in its 17 year history. Estelle Rowe of EDT reports.
