Road schemes at risk from persistently dirty diesels

Modern diesel cars and vans pollute city air with nitrogen oxides as much as they did over 10 years ago, says James Tate of Leeds University. Urban road schemes generating extra traffic may therefore struggle to meet air quality standards unless motor manufactures start to clean up their act.
