The transformation of London's Olympic Park after the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games has set a new benchmark for future host cities in terms of the speed with which the park and its venues have been adapted and subsequently opened to the public. The park now provides a setting for permanent venues and future development. This paper explains the approach adopted to master planning the long-term legacy of the park. It goes on to describe subsequent delivery of the transformation works, and how this was adapted to meet time frames set to re-open the park to the public while integrating further works and adaptations to support evolving requirements of the legacy operator.
