Campaigning in Parliament for Huntington's disease

Huntington's disease is a rare neuropsychiatric disorder that affects, at a minimum, around 12.4 in every 100 000 people in the UK (Rawlins, 2010). The illness is hereditary, and every child born to an affected parent has a 50% chance of inheriting the gene that causes Huntington's disease, and if a child does so, he/she will go on and develop the illness. There is a genetic test that can tell people whether or not they carry the gene that causes the illness.
