The new Conservative/Liberal Democrat government formed its coalition in early May and at the time of writing, their emergency budget is eagerly anticipated. The government has declared that NHS funding is sacrosanct and has promised not to cut front-line NHS services. What is less clear, however, is what the impact of cuts to other areas of public service spending will have on the NHS and on neuroscience care areas in particular.
