Recent meetings organized by the Royal College of Nursing in conjunction with the National Council for Palliative Care have put end-of-life care in the spotlight for patients with neurological conditions. Nurses and other professionals from a variety of disciplines attended a London meeting in June, where there was such a high demand for places that potential delegates had to be turned away. This only serves to demonstrate that nurses working within neuroscience care are keen to develop their understanding and skills in end-of-life care as part of efforts to improve care and services for patients.
