Identifying and managing tuberous sclerosis complex

Tuberous sclerosis, also known as tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a multisystem genetic disorder (Table 1). The condition derives its name from tuberous benign growths in the brain that calcify with age and become hard or sclerotic (Crino et al, 2006).
