This month marks the 10th anniversary of my suffering a very severe head injury. Champagne all round? Not exactly—I see no reason to celebrate being knocked down by a police-van driving on the wrong side of the road. Of course, my recovery so far is a daily cause for rejoicing. ‘So far’? Surely after 10 years no further recovery is possible? The experts are guarded on how long it takes to recover from any brain injury. The Brain and Spine Foundation tells us:
