It is important that neuroscience nurses and organizations with an interest in health policy-making approach government with a consistent message to infl uence policy. At the end of 2008, I was giving evidence to ensure the RCN's view on the value of neurology nurses was given to the Royal College of Physicians. The new year starts in the same vein with the RCN working on a consultation document to inform the government about access to specialist nurses for people with Parkinson's disease.
