Papers presented at the 116th Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association (APA) (2008) suggest a link between otitis media, and obesity onset with age. While it may be considered that any direct link between the two conditions, to quote Professor Mark Haggard from the charity Deafness Research UK, ‘is not impossible but, to be frank, is extremely unlikely’, an indirect link is considered to be more of a possibility.
