This paper considers the factors involved in corrosion fatigue and looks at the possible effects of solution composition, loading frequency, waveform, electrochemical potential etc. on crack growth rates. Preventative measures are described but no general guidelines can be given as the choice of the most appropriate remedy depends on the system being investigated.
