ABSTRACT THE GEORGE BIDDER LECTURES The Society for Experimental Biology, with the generous support of the Company of Biologists Ltd., have instituted a series of formal public lectures to be given by distinguished members of the Society, and subsequently to be published in the Journal of Experimental Biology.
