Summary Precision psychiatry cannot deliver reliable care for women when treating reproductive neuroendocrine dynamics as background noise. This paper argues for routine, standardised reporting of reproductive stage, exogenous hormone exposure, and staging methods, making the case that hormone-integrated research could reduce heterogeneity, sharpen mechanisms, improve safety and enhance clinical utility.
