A standard complaint of the information age is that it is difficult to keep up with the explosion of publication and activity in the sciences. Even keeping up with the professional literature is difficult, and finding time to keep track of the various advancements in computing is even more so. This short review is intended to serve as a guide to places that might help. It contains a list of conferences, professional associations, journals, software publishers, electronic discussion lists, and electronic archives of software and reviews It also makes some recommendations intended to make these services easier for the professional to find and more complete in their offerings.
