In this simulation of the American Revolution the user takes on the role of the editor of a large New York weekly newspaper, circa 1761. As editor he or she picks up newsworthy stories from various sources. These events are briefly described onscreen and the player is asked to choose from three classes of headlines which are loyalist (conservative), neutral (moderate), or patriotic (liberal) in tone. According to the choice of tone, the newspaper's readership changes and the readers are politicized, thereby influencing the impending revolution.
