An exercise for teaching simultaneous faults The paper presents the analysis of simultaneous single line-to-ground and line-to-line faults at a generator terminal. Using symmetrical components, the system equations and the connection of the sequence networks during such faults are presented. Moreover, the paper presents a numerical example for such a case.
