Electromagnetic compatibility—its place in the electrical engineering curriculum This paper discusses the significance of the 1992 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) legislation in Europe and concentrates particularly on the need for EMC to be introduced into the undergraduate curriculum. All electrical engineers must have an awareness of EMC and therefore it should be taught within the framework of the first degree.
