Linear modelling of op-amps The aim of this paper is to show the importance of using appropriate modelling for the active elements in op-amp based active circuits. It is shown, through the example of a sinusoidal oscillator, how the ideal model is only valid for low frequency operations. A much better approximation can be obtained by using a single pole model.
