A Comparison of Reliability: Objective and Conventional Examinations in Electronic Engineering

The reliability of several examination papers in Electronic Engineering was tested by the ‘equivalent forms’ method. The ‘objective’ and ‘conventional’ parts were separately compared. When corrected for length, the objective parts were more reliable than the conventional sections in almost every case, but the improvement was not great.
