Thoracic or total body irradiation in the 2-month-old C57BL mouse produced a temporary and reversible lymphopenia as determined by peripheral blood counts. The duration in this system was about 60 days. Delayed hypersensitivity to DNCB in all studied groups was similar for all groups during an observation period of 1 year. Irradiated animals showed a slight delay in healing a DNCB chemical burn. There were no difference in survival to a syngeneic tumor challenge of LSA lymphoma cells.
