The presence and some basic properties of fructose-1,6-diphosphatase in DMBA-induced rat mammary tumours are reported. Correlations between levels of enzyme activity, histopathology and secretory status of the tumours investigated are presented, followed by a discussion of the possible physiological roles of the enzyme in these tumours.
