Bronchial carcinoma is also found in mountain region without air pollution. In Swiss mountains the number of lung cancer cases is small, but these men were all heavy smokers. Lung cancer was seen here at a higher age and mostly not in cigarette, but in cigar smokers. The reasons of these findings are discussed.
