The Early Ambulation of Patients After Myocardial Infarction

A carefully supervised, progressive program of physical activity initiated early after myocardial infarction does not present significant risks for the patient, and improves his physical as well as psychological adaptation during convalescence. It is not known whether this approach is effective in preventing recurrence of the disease or suddencardiac death.
