Virginia Health Catalyst: A public health perspective frames strategies to ensure oral health is health

AbstractThe Virginia Oral Health Coalition was created to increase the number of Virginians who access dental services. The organization celebrates its tenth birthday with the expanded focus of ensuring everyone in the state has equitable access to comprehensive health care that includes oral health. It also has a new name ‐ Virginia Health Catalyst. Why does removing ‘oral health’ from its' name honor dental care more than keeping it?
