SummaryMetaplastic breast carcinoma is uncommon and constitutes less than 5% of all breast cancers. The cancerous epithelium becomes non‐glandular through metaplastic differentiation. There are various subtypes and the extent to which this process occurs varies. A case of a 52‐year‐old female patient is reported and the published literature is reviewed.
