Preoperative Embolisation in the Management of Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma

SUMMARYThirteen cases of juvenile angiofibroma were treatea surgically with preoperative embolisation. One case occurred in a female. Embolisation significantly reduced blood loss and allowed complete surgical removal of the tumour in all cases. No significant complications occurred. Preoperative embolisation should be employed routinely in the surgical management of these patients.
