ABSTRACTA case of malignant peritoneal mesothelioma is reported which was diagnosed by sonography and conventional gastrointestinal studies. Although CT has been reported to be superior to sonography for the diagnosis of peritoneal mesotheliomas in our Institution, where Body CT facilities were not available, sonography proved to be invaluable in the diagnosis of this fatal peritoneal neoplasm, assisted by conventional gastrointestinal studies.
