ABSTRACTTyphlitis is an unusual complication, seen most commonly in leukemic patients. One case is reported here and discussed.CT findings are specific, with caecal wall thickening being the most common finding and differentiation from periappendiceal abscess, leukemic deposits and intramural haemorrhage should be possible.Radiological recognition is important, as uncomplicated typhlitis is best managed conservatively, but any evidence of perforation or abscess formation is an indication for surgery.
