The Fifth Year Undergraduate Radiology Teaching Programme At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital

ABSTRACTA short course in medical imaging totalling some nine hours, has been run for the past four years for small groups of fifth year medical students. The aims of the programme are to show students the scope of current radiology, to teach them how to consult the department and use the service effectively, to stimulate their interest in the natural history and patterns of disease, to teach them a logical approach to a radiograph, and to expose them to a range of common conditions demonstrated radiologically.The teaching methods and results are described.
