The Bursae Deep to Gluteus Medius and Minimus

W. J. Weston · Australasian Radiology · 1970

SUMMARYThe radiographic anatomy of the bursae deep to the gluteus medius and minimus has been described. These bursae have been filled by barium sulphate at post‐mortem examination. A scalp vein set is a useful cannula in the thin subject. The extrasynovial fat is well shown between the barium‐filled bursa deep to gluteus medius and the great trochanter.
