Pulmonary Stenosis: Plain Films and Fluoroscopy

J. K. McMyn · Australasian Radiology · 1967

Summary The plain film findings in pulmonary valvular stenosis are mentioned with particular reference to the frequent finding of unilateral enlargement of the left branch of the pulmonary artery. Unilateral expansile pulsation of the left lower lobe branch or left descending branch of the left pulmonary artery is a valuable and pathognomic sign of pulmonary valvular stenosis in the absence of similar expansile pulsation of the descending branch of the right pulmonary artery.
