The above article from European Journal of Neuroscience, published online on 15 June 2022 in Wiley Online Library ( wileyonlinelibrary.com ), has been withdrawn by agreement between the journal Editor‐in‐Chief, John Foxe, and John Wiley and Sons Ltd. The withdrawal has been agreed because the journal published the Stage 1 Registered Report in error and it is journal policy to only publish the Stage 2 Registered Report when the research has been completed.
