Do Problem-Solving Skills Affect Success in Nursing Process Applications? An Application Among Turkish Nursing Students

Purpose This study aimed to determine the relationship between problem-solving and nursing process application skills of nursing. Methods This is a longitudinal and correlational study. The sample included 71 students. An information form, Problem-Solving Inventory, and nursing processes the students presented at the end of clinical courses were used for data collection. Findings Although there was no significant relationship between problem-solving skills and nursing process grades, improving problem-solving skills increased successful grades. Conclusions Problem-solving skills and nursing process skills can be concomitantly increased.
