Radwa M. Ismail, Abdurrahman S. Zidan, Doaa A. Habba · European Journal of General Dentistry · 2026

Abstract Over the past decade, there has been a global increase in patients' concern for dental aesthetics, reflecting heightened awareness of the significance of oral appearance and its impact on self-confidence. The Gingival Black Triangle is the fourth dental aesthetic condition that dental patients complain about, and its reconstruction is very challenging in esthetic dentistry due to the limited blood supply in this area. This review aims to discuss various etiologies, limitations, surgical, and nonsurgical treatment modalities introduced in the literature for managing the gingival Black Triangle.
