Retraction: “Effects of S100A12 gene silencing on serum levels of anti‐inflammatory/pro‐inflammatory cytokines in septic rats through the ERK signaling pathway,” by Xin Wen, Xin‐Rui Han, Yong‐Jian Wang, Shao‐Hua Fan, Zi‐Feng Zhang, Dong‐Mei Wu, Jun Lu, Yuan‐Lin Zheng, J Cell Biochem . 2018; 4038‐4049: The above article, published online on 03 January 2018 in Wiley Online Library ( https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jcb.26568 ) has been retracted by agreement between the the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Christian Behl, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party. A detailed investigation revealed that several image elements of the experimental data were published elsewhere in a different scientific context. Thus, the editors consider the conclusions of this article to be invalid.
